This book is really good! John Bevere is a great writer, but more than that, his life experiences really encourage and inspire me!
Just want to get some very good pointers written down so that I can always meditate on them!
"Revelation is of no value without the wisdom and character to live it out."
"As Christians, character should be our first priority and pursuit."
I like this:
"Some Christians will travel great distance -- hundred of miles -- to go to a miracle, prophetic or anointing service, but they are unwilling to deal with the anger, unforgiveness or bitterness in their own hearts. This is evidence that their emphasis is on power rather than character."
How true isn't it? At the end of the day, character is still most important! If we really want to breakthrough and move on, the change has to start with us!
And this is really really good:
"The goal of the high call of Christianity is not the power of God or ministry; it is to know Me."
My prayer of this year is that I will get to know God more, all over again. Love Him the way I used to love Him. In fact, even more. That first love....
April is ending soon!!.. It's Wen Wen's birthday today! Days like that make me really miss my family so much!!...
I think Australia is many people's ideal & dream place to stay in... The slower pace, the cooler weather etc etc...
Many people asked me why do I want to return to Singapore after graduation... why not stay and work in Australia...
Haha. I think 2 years in Australia is more than enough for me. It is a good place for vacation, to R&R... Driving on the freeway is FUN. Hee hee...
BUT... a year and 4 months here have already convicted my heart that my family means a lot to me.. Spending time together, living together, celebrating birthdays together. I miss these!
And definitely the church people back home in CHC. I miss these people so much!
But nonetheless there is definitely a great purpose for me to be here for 2 years! I will live it to the fullest! :)
School starts tomorrow!! YIPPEEEEE!!!
P/s: JANICE CHIANG!! Thanks for lending me this book to read! :)
