am on leave today.. woke up at nearly 12pm! long sleep, well rested.. :)
yesterday had a long & busy day.. was busy being a "Jie-Mei", busy "sabo-ing" the groom, busy asking for a bigger "ang pow".. haha... had fun though.. :D
at the banquet dinner, met up more of my secondary school friends. wow, been a long long while since i last saw some of them! think about it, it has been 10 years since we graduated from sec school! wow, time really flies lo.. catch up a little with them.. brought back some funny memories as we recapped the list of teachers.. few good ones, 2 very fierce ones.. 1 whom looked like "tweety bird", haha.. Mr Seah, that was how we addressed him. Our physics teacher.. think about it, he really quite looked like tweety. hee..
we were wondering whether are the teachers still teaching there?... but, think none of us go back to the school anymore lo..
anyway, was very happy to see Xiaohan in her gown.. wow, beautiful bride... am glad to share this joyous occasion with her.. hmmm.. i always feel bad that i didn't really contact her very often, considering we were really close friends in sec school. but thank God she always will initiated some gatherings.. st john gathering... sec sch gathering.. that's how i can still be keeping in touch with her. cannot cannot.. must repent... it's a gift from God.. good friends, close friends.. i must make a conscious effort to be more active... buy her a meal on her birthday, should stay in touch ma.. if we really treasure the friendship, which i really do... :)

very good-looking couple ya? i really find them so compatible.. glad they are finally settling down after 9 long years.. anyway, it's not only about looks, but as i communicate with derek, i could sense that he is a good man, so i'm glad that Xiaohan has found a good man to cherish her & take care of her. :)
i pray that may their marriage be so blessed, so blessed... :)
ok! now to my birthday! wow! was SOOOOOOOO blessed this year lah!

thanks for allowing me to be a part of your lives... let's continue to love Him & serve Him even more, as we embark in this cultural mandate path that we are going.. He is the reason why our paths of lives can come together, among 6 million ppl in the world, we can be in the same church, in the same CG, that by itself is already a miracle! :)

WEN -- you are indeed the best younger sister one could ever asked for! even though it was extremely hard to "conceal" whatever that is happening from me as we are living under the same roof, you still did such a superb job. thanks for everything... i love you!
VIC -- thanks for always being so willing to give us a ride, drive us to places to eat. thanks for opening your life to me so much more, esp ever since last year. i'm glad that you are just so teach-able, willing to listen to my advise. i also hope & wish for the best for your life. let's look to God on how He will lead you to the best of your life this year. :)
special thanks to Shi Fu... my dearest beloved friend.. am so glad to know you in Citibank, it's amazing to see how our paths come together. the 1st impression i gave you was my "golden" hair, you thought that i was an "ah-lian", and you don't even want to go lunch with me. (ha..) but, according to the will of God, you cannot "escape", you were assigned to guide me in my work.. ha.. that's how u realised i was actually a very nice person... hor? so u learnt, should never judge anyone by how they looked.. haha.. till then i never coloured my hair in that colour anymore.. anyway, am glad that we are in the same church, serving the same Lord, and though with the age difference (ha..), it wasn't a barrier for you to join my CG. you have indeed make a difference in the lives of the people... i believe they love you, and also come to see you as an elder sister whom they can look up to. thanks for bringing joy into the CG.. thanks for being such a giving person, not just in the members' lives, you have really been sowing into my life. thanks for always seeking to bless me on my birthday. thanks for the wallet, thanks for the chalet. words could not express how thankful i am to God for bringing you into my life.... you are really very dear to me. as you go for the op tis wed, do not be afraid, i know the CG will be praying together with you. looking forward to see you back, stronger in health than ever before. go forth, have kids, enjoy the life that God has installed for you. :)

i really had a great birthday this year. indeed every year is just getting better & better ever since i came to know the Lord. like what the bible says, glory to glory... i do attribute all these to the Father's love, i believe it's His desire to want us to feel blessed, to feel loved.
